Christ Church, Summerfield, Birmingham

Christ Church Summerfield is a church plant from the Gas Street Network of churches in North Edgbaston, Birmingham. They told us about two members of their church family:

Zoe hadn’t been in church for 15 years, was bought along to our Sunday gathering by her friend Steve who attends Place of Welcome. During the worship and preaching she encountered the Holy Spirit and came forward for prayer. She then gave her life to Jesus!

Eyob has been attending Christ Church for a month now. He and his wife are asylum-seekers from Ethopia who live in a local hotel. As they prepare for their first child, they have felt very welcomed by the community and enjoy the worship and laughter at Sunday gatherings. Eyob said, “we have been looking for a church community like we had at home, now we’ve found it!”
