Sixty-One is the founder of a city-wide partnership which aims to see re-offending crime reduced across Bristol, and the city transformed, by working to support prisoners and ex-prisoners, and practically demonstrate the gospel to them.
Funding from The Lauderdale Trust contributes to core costs of running the charity.
At the end of Sept 2025 we were mentoring / befriending 82 individuals through MentorMe [a scheme involving local church volunteers who are trained by Sixty-One staff], meaning that at this point in the year we are on track towards mentoring 90+ prisoners by the end of the year…. Our in-person delivery of Goal-Setting workbook sessions at HMP Bristol within the resettlement team has been extremely well received. At the 9 month point of this year, 77 men had attended a Goal-Setting Session. These sessions are a valuable tool for people preparing for release anywhere in the country, assisting with future planning and critical thinking skills. Four men who attended these sessions were also referred to MentorMe.
