Trinity Church Everton is a local church seeking to share the good news of Jesus with those in Everton, Liverpool. Funding from The Lauderdale Trust supports David, their addictions worker who runs the church’s Crossroads ministry for those seeking to find a way out of addiction.
Our weekly addictions support group on a Tuesday has been growing. Since January we have had an average of 13 per week, with a high of 21 at one meeting… I think [in the Crossroads ministry] we have had about 23 newcomers since January, mainly coming from a local rehab, a local recovery house and word of mouth. This is probably the most newcomers we have had in a 3 month period. Some of them have come a number of times. We hope to start a Christianity Explored course soon for those that are interested in exploring more… It also has been encouraging in terms of the Christian voice in the Tuesday meeting. We have lots of Christians at the meeting, so there is a strong gospel presence which is important for all the non-Christians who have been attending.
