We are really excited about what this year holds for us in terms of our goals of bringing God’s Kingdom to the community of Lowedges. I have attached a few photos from our new Friday Fellowship group, which, although has only been running for 3 weeks, we already have 16 people attending, with up to 12 at any one time. The funding from the Lauderdale Trust has enabled me to explore new initiatives, and our Friday Fellowship meeting is one of them. We meet from 12pm – 2pm and the meeting starts with a hot lunch – (home made meat and potato pie on this occasion!) then we have a time of sung worship, followed by a discussion based on a passage in the bible, and activity and prayers. I have been bowled over by the response, and it is truly a blessing to see how God is at work in our little group.

During this half term, we organised an afternoon for children, where we explored the story of creation, and the children enjoyed crafts and creative prayer. It is my intention to organise another activity during the Easter holidays, to learn about the Easter Story, maybe over 2 or 3 days, and then potentially roll out the group to a regular weekly after school group, once we have had our planned refurb of the counter space, due in March.

On alternate Thursday afternoons, starting next week, we are opening up the Meeting Place for a drop in time for coffee and prayers. As part of this, we are inviting members and leaders from neighbouring churches to come and pray for the community and the work of the Terminus.
