Pathway is a children’s work charity working with local churches to give each child in North London a chance to hear stories from the Bible and to understand and make informed choices about Christian beliefs. Funding from The Lauderdale Trust has contributed to the appointment of Area Outreach workers for the London Borough of Haringey, who partner with local churches, linking them with schools.
At a local church prayer meeting we shared about a new school that has recently started receiving Pathway assemblies. Then a member of the church shared how they had been praying for that school for years, ever since a former church minister had been asked to stop visiting when the headteacher changed. Then, in September 2024 the headteacher changed again, opening up the opportunity for Pathway to take the Bible into this (non-faith) school. We had no idea that someone had been praying for this school for so long, but hope this could be the start of building a link between the local church and the school.
